About Everyone yoga school
For the past decade, Everyone Yoga School founder and director Mandy Eubanks has dreamed of finding a way to take yoga out of the studio, and introduce it into the lives and hearts of those who may not have an opportunity to experience yoga in a traditional setting. With the establishment of EYS in 2014, she has found a way to begin realizing her dream.
Everyone Yoga School was created as a way for yogis of all kinds to become yoga instructors, and learn the skills required to become a yoga professional. With topics ranging from the history and philosophy of yoga, to ensuring class safety, as well as focusing on inclusion, clarity, and consistency, EYS graduates learn what it takes become a successful yoga instructor.
Since the inaugural 200-hour training class, EYS has graduated over 100 teachers, and a high percentage of those are certified instructors, teaching yoga in the Tulsa area and have gone on to take the EYS advanced 300 hour teacher training.
Mandy was born into a family of nurses and healthcare providers, so understanding benefits of yoga came naturally to her. Her great aunt was the mid-wife of Dell County, Arkansas; and her grandmother earned her Ph.D. in her sixties after retiring from the medical field, going on to take a position in the biology department at the University of Tulsa. Her family has inspired Mandy to stay true to her roots, and to always seek the next learning opportunity.
A Tulsa native, Mandy travelled extensively throughout the U.S. for over a decade, obtaining knowledge about the practice of yoga, Ayurvedic techniques, and general health and wellness. Even though she departed from her upbringing rooted in the Western medical model, she is always searching for ways to bridge Eastern practices such as yoga and meditation, and the traditional Western mindset towards health and spirituality.
Mandy is an E- RYT®500 Yoga instructor and a formerly certified Anusara Yoga teacher and teacher trainer, and is also certified in both Pre-Natal Yoga and Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy. In 2014 she came home to Tulsa with her family, relocating from Austin, Texas. She immediately recognized the blossoming Tulsa yoga community as an opportunity to open a yoga school and begin setting her dreams into motion.
In 2016 she earned her certification as a Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy, of which EYS has been accepted as a member school. This has instilled a passion to educate herself on what trends in yoga therapy community at large, as well as to understand how yoga therapy is becoming a viable profession, embraced more and more by the Western medical model. This personal journey both honors her roots, and her call to be a steward of yoga.
Mandy felt it was extremely important to contribute to the growing yoga scene in her home town. She realized it was equally important to plug into the existing local community and access the gifts and talents of the established Tulsa yoga teachers, who were some of her very first mentors. But in her heart, she knows that this is just the beginning of her personal journey, and her grand vision is to create an organization with a team of skilled instructors to train their students to be yoga therapists and take the leap to a career in yoga, just like she did.
